Verify your business
Before your first deal goes out, Beam checks the business is really yours. Here are the ways to verify, and how you know you're through.
What's in this video
- Beam needs to know the business is really yours before you can send a deal. Until then, you can't create or pay for a beam.
- The Business Verification screen opens right after you sign up. Later, find it in Settings, under Verification Status.
- Scroll down to the ways to verify. If you see Verify by phone call, it's the fastest: Beam calls or texts the number Google lists for your business with a 6-digit code, and you're verified as soon as you enter it.
- No phone option? Tap Upload a document.
- The first time, read the Merchant Agreement and tap I Agree at the bottom.
- Pick the document type (business license, EIN letter, tax registration or utility bill), then tap Choose a Photo. The photo must show your business name and address.
- Tap Submit for Review. Beam's team checks it, typically within 1 business day.
- You won't get an alert when it's approved. The next time you open Beam, it starts on your Dashboard with the Get the most out of Beam checklist, and you can send your first beam.
- Signed up through a Beam rep? Your rep can confirm your business in person instead. You'll see Almost there while you wait.
