Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can experience perks including increased exposure in being listed on Bursa Malaysia's Leading Entrepreneur Accelerator Platform (LEAP) Market.
Tan Sri Mohamed Al Amin Abdul Majid, Chairman of SME Corp Malaysia, stated that the LEAP Market likewise had facilitative guidelines and policies together with a more affordable compliance cost, which functioned as early publicity to get ready for a possible listing on the ACE Market or even Main Market.
He stated the market was tailored to combining SMEs and companies, intermediaries, financiers and advisors onto an unified channel to establish a favorable marketplace to raise funds.
Mohamed Al Amin also said that the LEAP Market offers reliable and transparent financing buildup and price discovery mechanisms as compared to a private market.
He added the LEAP Market would uphold the nationwide development program of SMEs, while functioning as an alternate and supplementary platform for financiers to invest in the financial growth of SMEs and companies.
Mohamed Al Amin also mentioned that, 25 licensed corporate financial consultants had actually been authorized by the Securities Commission Malaysia as advisors for the LEAP Market.
Currently two companies have been listed on the LEAP Market with a total market cap of over RM200 million.
