KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 10): Scientex Bhd said it will issue 25.28 million new shares in the company to satisfy the proposed acquisition of a 42.41% stake in Daibochi Bhd.
Concurrently, Scientex, which is keen to extend a mandatory general offer (MGO) of the remaining stake in Daibochi after the acquisition, has yet to decide whether to acquire the remaining stake via cash or further issuance of new shares in Scientex.
KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 10): Shares in Top Glove Corp Bhd fell more than 5% in early trade this morning after it emerged that Britain is launching an investigation into medical gloves used by its health service after a Thomson Reuters Foundation expose found stocks from Malaysia could be tainted by the mistreatment of migrant workers at the world's biggest glovemaker.
At 9.12am, Top Glove fell 29 sen to RM5.61 with 1.99 million shares done. The stock had earlier fallen to a low of RM5.55.
