Talentora, a brand new, up and coming talent connectivity + video social media platform officially launches to the public today. The launch was held at Style by Style Cafe at Mediacorp's Headquarters in Singapore.
Founded by serial entrepreneur Sylvester Sivamani Pillay and his team, their mission of building Talentora is to connect masses of talented people in Asia through an all-in-one mobile app, while bringing their own twist of fun+creative social networking elements to the mix.
Sylvester, who has founded a previous company in the same space, believes Talentora will be able to fill the gaps of allowing these creative individuals to turn their passions into potential careers.
The Talentora platform, which is aimed at being the go-to marketplace for discovering talents in Asia, combines both social media and people/job search capabilities. Users who register on the platform can also easily record (and share) 10-second videos, as well as build their follower-base just like many other platforms in the market such as Vine and Instagram.
However unlike mainstream social media platforms, Talentora also includes a parameter-specific search and filter, allowing users to easily discover people and jobs posted on the app. This not only makes discovering and hiring these talents a lot easier than before, but could potentially position the platform as a go-to marketplace for discovering creative talents in the near future.
Talentora has raised their first round of funding from both Mediacorp and Angel Investors, and are currently seeking to raise a SEED round to scale across Asia more rapidly.
