KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 19): Datasonic Group Bhd skidded in active trade at the midday break today after it was named in the charges against former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
At 12.30pm, Datasonic fell 36.69% or 25.5 sen to 44 sen with 41.44 million shares traded.
Online portal Malaysiakini reported that Zahid, as home minister, received a RM5 million cheque from a Data Sonic Group Bhd director for the company to supply 12.5 million chips for Malaysian passports.
